Smudge yourself and your working area with Palo Santo or sage, and keep it burning within the area where you’ll be casting your circle.
Cast a circle with sea salt, lavender, and mug wort, inclosing yourself with three raw eggs.
Smudge the eggs while chanting:
“Living in LA is tough,
I long to be here, being more than fluff.
Great desires are within,
I want to possess more than just great skin.”
Close the circle, and keep the eggs with you.
Smudge your car or Uber… Do NOT take a Bird. If you encounter any Birds, knock them over and smudge them, too, chanting:
“Danger, danger, go away,
I want to live anther day.
To ride one, I’d become a lackey,
Plus, they’re altogether tacky.”
Drive past The Abbey, and hurl one egg at the pseudo-Gothic building, as you whisper,
“Always a goddess,
Never a yokel…
May I become
A snooty local.”
Continue your drive up Robertson, and take Santa Monica to San Vicente to Sunset.
Head West on Sunset, taking it all the way over the 405. Throw the second egg Northbound with the active intent of fertility at the futility of its traffic.
Arrive at PCH and turn left. Park at the Topanga Ranch Motel, admiring its derelict antics.
Cross the street at Topanga, noting the pun on the chalkboard marquee at the Reel Inn.
Arrive at the beach, kneel, and set an intention for your success with your dreams in Los Angeles.
To cleanse the final egg, hold it in your non-dominant hand, meditating on your intention. Whisper it into your dominant hand, and place it over your egg.
Throw the egg into the ocean, chanting:
“Goddess of sea,
With intention, I come to thee.
May my dreams enchant the land,
So I become more than a one-hit-wonder in a band.
So mote it be.”
Bow to the ocean, shimmering all around with its most radiant indifference, and begin your sojourn home.
